One of my co-teachers lives to the south of me, while the other lives to the north. We're talking twenty or so miles in each direction. I'm the middle ground so we did a quick meet up at my place to pass along baked goods, virtual hugs, garden goodies, and eggs. Oh how I covet these backyard eggs! The best part was discovering al the silly puns she added to the box. I know some pretty cool people.

time for a bike ride
I have not been on the beach cruiser for probably a year. I can't remember. I do know that I. Am. Out. Of. Shape. Good gravy, all the huffing and puffing! Admittedly, I decided that I maybe needed more malted milk eggs and that a bike ride to the drugstore would be a good way to switch things up. The only problem with ridging the bikes to the drugstore is that there. Are. Hills. I had to get off my bike and walk it up one of the hills. At least I tried it and got my heart rate up. Oof. I waited in the parking lot while the mister ran in to get stuff for the mama-a-go-go, and my eggs. he's nice like that. he thinks I'm crazy, but he's nice like that.

making the bed: a preview
Today is a day where pretty colors and linens were needed. I splurged on these birdie sheets from The Company Store. They were quite spendy but...birds! I call them my pandemic sheets. I need to flip them around so those birdies are not upside down!
a day in the life safer at home
How cool is this? One of my parents did a surprise porch delivery of pastry and coffee. Swoon! I make a pretty decent cup of coffee at home, but Scout? Scout lattes are my favorite. I would have taken a picture of the scone she delivered, but um, that one didn't last quite as long. In all transparency, I have to admit, this photo is of an empty cup. I drank it all up immediately so, yeah. Not everything you see on the internet is totally true. Ahem.
Box cake cupcakes. There is a batch of homemade sour cream frosting in the fridge and we have been adding a swoosh of frosting as we go. I'm low on flour and the mister won't be hitting up the market for another few days. I hope you are all able to find what you need and make do with what you have. I have expired cake mix. So there ya go.
Poly really wants to be outside but we don't let her out until 10am. She is a howler and is especially bereft when the mister goes outside. She is also unsure about my slippers here and has attacked me more than once today. Speaking of today, I had a panic fit over well, everything. My track record for health is not really good and I'm worried about this pandemic. I spent an hour watching videos on treatments for people with cystic fibrosis. Breathing and coughing techniques to clear the lungs. Everyone keeps asking me if I think I had covid when I was sick this winter and part of me wonders the same thing. I was awfully sick. Sicker than I have ever been and it was not the flu. The doctors all ordered tests, so much blood was taken. I was freaking out. I was told it was most probably pneumonia, but they always said it with a question mark at the end. I did have fluid in my lung,s and there is scarring as well. I took three different antibiotics and a super round of prednisone and while I am breathing better and not afraid I'm going to die in the middle of the night anymore, I am tired all the time. Pneumonia can do that to you though. So who knows? Stay safe. Wash your hands. Take deep breaths.
