another lovely reason for my lurve of flickr

i sent her froot loops, she sent me macarons. they may not have survived the journey intact but they smelled sweet, were full of flavor and photographed beautifully. the fabric will be used for something wonderful. thank you claire!

wreck this cake

i'm sooooo busy my head is going to spin itself to the land of the lost. though, to be honest, i am more busy thinking about all the things that need to be finished this week, too many things. i am a manic jek. happily enough, i was distracted from the busy by a visit with the mama and superstar bean but now i must get back to all that busy i so mysteriously speak of, mostly thinking of those darn papers that need to get written and working on a couple of presentations for this weekend. of course i had time in the middle of this very real busy to bake a cake for a flickr friend.


and then of course, in the tradition that is flickr collaborations and inspired by her wreck this journal project, i baked a cake, decorated it and then wrecked it...happy tuesday! i must run off to the market for milk and toothpaste, tomorrow will truly be spent in school mode so don't call me unless of course you are in the neighborhood and have coffee on you or smiles and hugs, those are nice as well.

Zippity DO dah!

I've got a new do! Yay! My hair and with its lemon chiffon ends was driving me absolutely batty. Thanks to the wonderful world of flickr I now have a new and improved 'DO! I think flickr is the bees knees. You may wonder how it is that I got my hair cut through flickr and the dealie is that I have met some astounding people through flickr. ASTOUNDING. My newest flickr friend is GeeeeNaaah. She is an amazing woman who can craft it up with the best of us and she even took me thrift shopping after the cut. I can't wait until August when I get to have yummy brunch foods with a few other flickr friends! Gina my new friend, you rock! THANK YOU for my new do. I am having a fabulous partay with it.
