i went walking

on wednesday, i walked to work. it wasn't far, less than two miles and i was equipped with new happy walking shoes.

i gave myself extra time to stop and take pictures. the marine layer was still lingering over the mountain and the birdies were chirp, chirp, chirping.
it was a lovely warm morning and even though i woke up with sad and tired feet, a knot in my back and a soreness in my calves that i haven't felt in too long, i'm going to do it again. i think all those knots and tired bits need it.
have you taken a stroll lately?

  1. Not a stroll, but I have been digging out a bed of day lillies 4 feet deep and 20 feet long. All that over turned soil has produced a variety of worms, baby crickets, and a bit a repetitive zen.
Tired arms and back and legs. In a good way.

  2. oh man! i have a bed of past narcissus that need pulling and i keep putting it off as the dirt is like clay and those tiny little roots are fierce! i can imagine how tired yet good you must feel. the turned over soil must smell really sweet!
